94th Prog at Bagnan Vivekananda Shiksa Kendra with Kumar P.N.Roy Public Charitable Trust
On 01.12.2024 we observed 5th Death Anniversary of our beloved member late Pankaj Saha with 160 students of Bagnan Vivekananda Shiksa Kendra, Dhumda with full financial support from Kumar P.N.Roy Public Charitable Trust, Kolkata.
The program included various social activities like, awareness prog on menstrual health and hygiene, 4000 pcs of sanitary napkins, under garments 4 each, bath soap, detergent and 500 pcs pain killer tablets for all girls coming under menstrual cycle.
Apart from above, we gifted them 132 kgs of educational accessories, 400 pens, 300 pencisl, 200 pcs each of erasers and sharpeners.
50 villagers were given one MOSHARI each along with one box of mosquito coil. One bag of 25 kgs Bleaching Powder was also given to prevent environmental pollution.
Three months food stuff for breakfast and soft drinks and non-veg lunch for 250 persons attended.
Mr Tanmoy Patra, the Secretary of the Shiksa Kendra, on his speech thanked Kumar Pramathanath Roy Public Charitable Trust for helping the children and he also conveyed respectful gratitude to the members of The Straight Talk for coninued supprt for the last seven years.
Mr Benimadab Roy, Managing Trustee of the Trust wished the students with a request to continue studies.
Mrs. Brinda Roy, Member of the trustee also told on her speech that nothing can be more important than education.
Mrs Ranjana Roy, an educationist reminded the students to grab the opportunity being received from the trust as well from the straight talk.
Mr Nirmal Chandra Saha, Admin and Secretary of The Straight Talk also discussed on various issues relating to education and he also categorically informed the students to continue hard work for bright future if they require supports from the organisation.
Our lady brigade alongwith other lady members of the trust given them awareness on hygiene.
Around 5 pm the program ended with a round of applause.
