78th prog on menstrual health and hygiene awareness at Bagnan Vivekananda Shiksakendra with students and teachers of Ashok Hall Group of Schools
On 15.07.2023 we conducted Awareness prog on menstrual health & hygiene at Bagnan, Howrah for the first time with Ashok Hall Group of Schools where Girls from Kolkata met with Bagnan Girls.
This program was a fantastic one as huge gifts such as Napkins, Food stuff, Educational accessories received from Ashok Hall Groupof Schools and our contribution was Sewing machine for self help initiative, under garments for all the bagnan girls and tiffin and lunch for all.
Smt Sonali Sarkar, Principal of MBSV, Dr Atreyee Sengupta, Principal of Ashok Hall Girls’ H S School and Smt V.P. Bharadwaj, Vice Principal spoke on the program and emphasized the need for self education and helping others to educate for bright futures. Mr Tanmoy Patra delivered his speech and explained how his students get education despite huge poverty. Mr Raji Dutta, President, TST wished them good luck, Mrs Indrani Ghosh, V.P., TST aldo spoke on the occasion and discussed various activities from our end and Mr Nirmal Ch Saha, Secretary, TST also informed the gathering the way the bagnan girls overcame various hurdles and also reminded that finding of difference between kolkata girls and bagnan girls is of no use because a good number of bagnan students secured huge marks and some of them are doing their masters with college like St Xaviers and other engineering colleges.
Mrs Sonali Sarkar also met the women of the village who attended for self help initiative and heard about their daily problems and assured of thinking on the issue.
Students of Ashok Hall Group explained the need of uses of napkins and the procedures of self cleaning alongwith our finest lady brigade.
Our Manidipa Mazumder gifted two lovely wrist watches to Two extraordinary students and our Arpita Sen sponsored TATA GLUCO drinks for everybody present
Soon after the awareness prog the Kolkata girls with bagnan girls visited nearby houses for watching their regular activities like making of FUCHKAs and making of MURI etc. Kolkata girls and their Principals enjoyed a lot over the entire program .
The entire team of TST thanked all the students and teachers for making the prog a huge success.
