9th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Our 9th AGM took place on Sunday, the 16th November 2025 at Tirupati Bhawan, Lake Gardens, Kolkata-700045 with an attendance of 71 members.
Mr Arindam Acharyya, President of the organisation presided over the meeting with his speech saying that the organisation’s main activities have been nicely performed during 2024-25 and urged the members to participate whole-heartedly to reach the poor and destitute.
Mr Nirmal Ch Saha, Secretary of the organisation placed his detailed report for 2024-25 and informed the members, how the orgnisation is being accepted by all categories of people. He informed that Subscription received during the year is Rs. 2,43,801/- from 209 members and Rs. 6,08,534/- as donation from members and well wishers, accrued intt on fixed deposit Rs. 26,724/- and SB intt Rs.14528/- and other miscellaneous receipt Rs.8821/-, total income Rs. 9,02,408/- and of which a sum of Rs. 7,30,604/- has been spent on social outreach programs and other expenditures.
Mr Saha also elaborated how the funds are generated here and why people are with us, it is mainly due to our self confidence, transparency and acceptability of the leadership as well as the general members at large. He also informed about the purchase of our New Office and also how a big fund has been arranged under CSR from Canara Bank for the construction of new School building at Nalua Joynagar, south 24 parganas.
Mr Rajib Dutta, Mentor, Smt Indrani Ghosh, Vice-president and Mr Ashis Gupta, a senior member, Smt Gayetri Sen and Mr Chanchal Sarkar also spoke in the meeting and placed some proposals, which will be discussed in due course, the secretary said before the audience.
Mr Bhavesh Shaw, a noted well wisher, has also delivered his speech and praised our activities and transparency.
Apart from our members and well wishers, Mr Tufan Dhara from Changdona Swami Vivekananda Seva Sangha, Canning and Mr Samsojjah Molla from Ramchandrapur Welfare Society, Lakshmikantapur also spoke and informed the audience how THE STRAIGHT TALK helps their students with various needs.
Finally the meeting was ended with a vote of thanks to the chair.
